I direct an initiative with Earth Advantage to accelerate the ADU movement called ADU Specialist designation. There are different pathways to obtaining the designation: ADU Academy and All about ADUs.

ADU Academy is a one-day intensive for professionals seeking in-depth, cutting-edge education on the ADU market taught by experienced industry practitioners. This is the most comprehensive information available in the country and creates a national network of ADU practitioners.

All About ADUs is an ADU class for real estate professionals. This class is through Earth Advantage, a partner organization based in Portland, OR.  It is also offered online. Here’s the Oregon CE version and the non-CE National version. This half-day course is intended for brokers who need to increase their knowledge about ADU development, in order to respond increasing client demand for properties with ADU potential.

By attending Brokers can qualify to earn an ADU Specialist designation.

Both ADU courses provide continuing education units.
